Donald "Don" J. Gilliam, 99, of Windom died Nov. 21, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom. A graveside service was Monday at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom with Pastor Mike McInnis officiating. Special music was provided by Lynn Stoneking, vocalist. LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements. Donald "Don" J. Gillam was born March 20, 1921, to Paul and Elizabeth June (Seely) Gillam in Windom. Don received his education in Windom, graduating in 1940. During World War II, Don worked for Autolite Diecasting Company in Woodstock, Ill. After returning to Windom, he had a lawn care service and later managed the Gillam farms. Don had been resident of Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom since 2011. Don was a member of First United Methodist Church in Windom, where he was baptized and confirmed. He enjoyed listening to music, reading and, at one time, played the cornet in a small band. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Richard.
