Doris Sheer

Doris Sheer, 94, of Windom died Nov. 23, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
A private family funeral service was held Tuesday at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom with Pastor Sarah Larsen Tade officiating.
Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Doris Miller was born July 17, 1926, to Lewis and Anna (Hoettnur) Miller in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was baptized, confirmed and graduated in Iowa.
She married Raymond Carlson in Emmetsburg, Iowa. They were blessed with a son, Wayne. Raymond died when Wayne was 8 years old.
Some years later, Doris met Bill Sheer. They moved to Rock Island, Ill. After Bill's death, Doris moved to Windom to be near her family.
She enjoyed living in Windom, where she had many friends, and lived for her family and friends.
In addition to her first husband, Raymond Carlson, and second husband, Bill Sheer, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Carlson.
Survivors include her sister, Joyce Van Horn of West Bend, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Linda Carlson of Windom; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
