Willis Beckmann, 87, of Fulda died Oct. 21, 2020, at Sanford Worthington Medical Center in Worthington.
Funeral services were Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Dovray with Rev. Chuck Swanson officiating.
Pallbearers were Jason Beckmann, Lance Beckmann, Cullen Beckmann, Mark Bultmann, Brian Bultmann and Bruce Bultmann.
Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Fulda.
Totzke Funeral Home of Fulda handled the funeral arrangements.
Willis Beckmann was born Dec. 9, 1932, to Henry and Lucy (Enninga) Beckmann in Seward Township of Nobles County. He grew up on the farm and attended District 98 country school before graduating from Fulda High School in 1951.
In 1953, Willis enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until being honorably discharged in 1957.
In 1953, he married Beverly Gehl at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulda.
Following his military service, they lived in Seward Township of Nobles County until 1963 when they moved to a farm in Belfast Township in Murray County. In 1995, he moved into Fulda where he continued to live.
Willis was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Dovray.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, shooting pool, restoring old Case garden tractors, drawing pictures of animals and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Valonne Verdugt and Mavis Thomas; and brothers-in-law: Harold Bultmann, Wally Verdugt and Jack Thomas.
Survivors include his five children: Barbara (Robert) Gibbons of Stocksdale, N.C.; Bradley (Pam) Beckmann of Fulda; Daniel Beckmann of Faribault; Michael Beckmann of St. Francis; and Monte (Karla) Beckmann of Orange, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
