Gloria Anderson, 75, of Bingham Lake died Oct. 25, 2020, at her home.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastor Adam Roberts officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 4 to 7 p.m., at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom and continue Thursday at the church for one hour prior to the service.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom is handling the funeral arrangements.
Gloria Jean Cannon was born Feb. 7, 1945, to Carl James and Velma (Fletcher) Cannon in Austin. She was baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Windom.
In 1963, Gloria graduated from Windom High School and later that year, married Jerry W. Risgard in Windom. They remained married for over 38 years until Jerry's death in 2002.
In 2003, Gloria married James D. Anderson at American Lutheran Church in Windom. Their marriage blessed her with three step-children: Steven, Douglas and Holly.
Gloria managed Fingerhut in Windom for 13 years, then worked primarily as a bookkeeper at Windom Painting before retiring in 2006.
Gloria enjoyed spending time at their lake home on Rush Lake in Ottertail, watching the loons (even petting a loon at their cabin) and tending her flowers. She also enjoyed her black cats, Fred and Bitsy.
In addition to her first husband, Jerry Risgard, Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, David Cannon; a sister, Lola Troutman and a brother-in-law, Larry Troutman.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Anderson of Bingham Lake; three step-children: Steven (Emme) Anderson, Douglas (Terri) Lewrenz; and Holly (Troy) Timgren; nine step-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon (Leo) Doherty of Windom; and a sister-in-law, Wilma "Willy" Cannon.
