Jack Malmgren

Jack Malmgren, 88, of Windom died Sept. 14, 2020, at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.
A Celebration of Life service and visitation were Saturday at American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastor Adam Roberts officiating.
Special music was provided by Dustin Stevens, organist; and Kent Mickelson, vocalist.
Casket bearers were Scott Wallner, Zach Severs, Troy Wiebler, Tyler Swenson, Bryce Mathis and Scott Scholtz.
Honorary bearers were Jack's grandchildren, step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Military honors were provided by Windom American Legion Post 206.
Interment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Windom.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Jack Dean Malmgren was born Nov. 23, 1931, to Donald and Rachel (Wicks) Malmgren in Minneota Township of Jackson County. He received his education in Lakefield Public Schools.
In 1954, Jack married DeLores Koep. They were blessed with three children: Kim, Kevin and Lynne.
Jack worked as a sales representative for Land O' Lakes and later managed a chicken hatchery. Known as a hard worker, he spent most of his time on the road, driving throughout Minnesota.
Jack enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, gardening and mowing the lawn. He took pride in his lawn and garden.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Merril.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 66 years, DeLores; children: Kim Malmgren (Joan Swan) of New Prague; Kevin (Holly) Malmgren of Castle Rock, Colo.; and Lynne (Dan) Grabanski of Faribault; four grandchildren; one step-grandchild; nine great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
