Steven Higley, 52, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Windom, died May 14, 2020, in San Antonio.
A Service of Witness to the Resurrection was held May 16 in San Antonio, with Dr. Dan Milford providing the meditation.
Family members offered words of remembrance.
Steven Brett Higley was born Nov. 19, 1967 to Steven and JoAnne (Visker) Higley in Windom. After graduating from Windom Area High School in 1986, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 26 years.
In 1988, he married Connie Dahlke and together they raised three children: Madison Nicole, Mercede Rae and Quade Steven.
Steven had a passion for military lifestyle; fast, loud cars; couch-coaching the Minnesota Vikings; and, most of all, his family.
He enjoyed grilling, especially bacon-wrapped chicken, jalapeno poppers and steak. He also will be remembered for his loud music.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; children: Madison, Mercede and Quade; parents, Steve and JoAnne Higley; and siblings: Joel (Jodi) Higley, Debbie (Mark) Adams and Brenda Armbrust.
