Viola Winkel, 103, of Windom died May 18, 2020, at Windom Area Health.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m., at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom with Pastor Paul Sajban officiating.
Special music will be provided by Ruth Wohlfeil, organist.
Casket bearers will be Kurt Winkel, Kraig Winkel, Wayne Winkel, Ryan Luxford, Lance Rininger and Justin Keyser.
Honorary bearers will be Viola's grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the Golden Age Group.
The service can be viewed through Facebook Live on the LaCanne Family Funeral Service Facebook page, starting at 10:25 a.m.
Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield.
Visitation will be held Monday at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Viola Frances Newcomer was born Aug. 23, 1916, to William and Ruth (Wise) Newcomer in Heron Lake. She was baptized in 1928 at the Methodist Church in Heron Lake and confirmed in 1940 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in rural Lakefield.
After attending Heron Lake Public Schools and graduating in 1934, Viola helped on the family farm.
In 1938, Viola married Lester Winkel. They were blessed with three children and farmed in Heron Lake until 1959 when they purchased a farm in Comfrey. They continued living at the farm in Comfrey until Lester's death in 1971.
While living in Comfrey, Viola was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Springfield and served as a substitute Sunday School teacher and chair of the ladie's aid.
Viola moved to Windom where she worked as a seamstress at Fingerhut until retiring in 1978.
She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom, where she participated in such groups as the LWML, Golden Age, quilting group and worked in the office. She also handmade linens for the altar and baptismal napkins.
In her community, she was a member of the Senior Center and RSVP and received a Mayor's Medal of Honor for Service by Elders.
In addition to her husband Lester, Viola was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Winkel in 2002; and nine siblings.
Survivors include her son, Warren (Sandra) Winkel of Windom; daughter, Sheila (Clare) Luxford of Minnetonka; daughter-in-law, Anita Winkel of Windom; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
