Military honors were provided by American Legion Post 206 of Windom.
Interment was at Lake-view Cemetery in Windom.

Charles "Bud" Dewey Gove was born April 30, 1935, to Russell Dewey and Helen Fern (Wright) Gove in Windom. Bud was the fifth of six children born to Russell and Helen. He was baptized in 1942 at First United Methodist Church in Windom.
Bud received his education in Windom Public Schools, graduating in 1954.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1959.
In 1963, Bud married Janice Elaine Mitchell. They made Windom their lifetime home.
In 1977, Bud and Jan adopted their daughter, April, who was 4 days old.
Bud drove truck, raised cattle and hogs and did custom swathing and chopping. He also farmed and sold seed, CB radios, FM radios and telephone systems.
Bud was proud that his farm was an unofficial century farm, having been purchased by Charles W. Gove in 1913. He also was proud to have helped put "Lady Justice" back on top of the Cottonwood County Courthouse after it was damage in a wind storm.
In 2011, Bud had heart surgery and recently became a resident of Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
Bud was a member of the Lakeview Cemetery Board in Windom for many years.
He enjoyed coffee at many local spots, most recently at Hardee's, which was considered his "home away from home." He also enjoyed attending Windom Evangelical Free Church and, most of all, spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Gove; and two sisters, Dorothy Bressler and Ruth Perrance.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jan Gove of Windom; daughter, April (Justin) Harrington of Windom; four grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Meyer of Windom and Margaret Bryant of Perryton, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Jo Strenge of Spirit Lake, Iowa.
