Ricky Musegades, 66, of Storden died Feb. 25, 2020, at his home in Storden.
A Celebration of Life service was Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden with Pastor Harvey Pedersen officiating.
Special music was provided by Elizabeth Johnson, organist and vocalist.
Urn bearers were Cindy Musegades, Heather Musegades, Patrick Musegades, Allison Musegades, Seth Yackley, Rynn Musegades and LeRoy.
Honorary urn bearers were Lesi, Ariel and Dara Pickrell; Shelia and Samantha Henderson; Mike, Becky, Katie, Annika and Evan Crowell; Steve, Laura, Loman, Olivia, Charlee and Scarlett Crowell; Stefanie, Tommy and Jake Adams; Meredith Musegades and Alec Humke; and staff and residents at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial.
Interment will be at a later date.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Ricky Rynn Musegades was born Jan. 16, 1954, to Fremon "Curley" and Vera (Senst) Musegades in Westbrook. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Westbrook.
After graduating from Westbrook High School in 1972, Ricky lived in Westbrook until 1973 when he moved to Marshall to attend college Southwest Minnesota State University.
In 1976, Ricky married Sharon Kay Lintner at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Dovray. They moved to Custer, S.D., in 1979, where they were blessed with their first-born daughter. After 1½ years, the couple moved back to Storden, where they were blessed with two more children.
Ricky worked many different jobs throughout his life, but especially enjoyed working with people. He was employed with Home for Creative Living for 13 years and was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for almost 30 years at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial. He loved the work he did and helping people was his passion.
Ricky was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden.
He enjoyed music, dancing and tending flowers and house plants.
He will be remembered as a family man, because his family was his life. He also will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Senst Musegades; and a sister-in-law, Nancy.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sharon Musegades of Storden; three children: Cindy Musegades and Heather Musegades of Storden, and Patrick (Allison) Musegades of Windom; two grandchildren; a sister and brother, Vonette (Earl) Crowell of Jeffers and Kent Musegades of Rapid City, S.D.; and a sister-in-law, Cyn (Mikki Ickes) Lintner of Hartford, S.D.
