Steven P. Tasler
Steven Paul Tasler, age 55, of Eagan, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, after a very short battle with esophageal cancer.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 24, at Prairie Community Church, 9145 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie. Visitation will start at 10 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m.
A grave site service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Steve was born on July 8, 1964 in Windom, to Fredrick and Wilma (Bloch) Tasler, one of two children.
He graduated from Windom Area High School in 1982 and then went on to graduate from Augustana College in Sioux Falls in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics.
He lived in many places but most recently Eagan. He was employed at Eco-Lab, a realtor with Exit Realty and was self-employed as an auctioneer.
He was a lifelong learner and you could usually find a book in his pocket. He was always ready with a joke or a fact about something you never knew.
Steve never met a person who wasn't instantly his friend. He had a gift for remembering everyone's name. He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick.
Survivors include his children: Matt (Jessica) LeVeque of Milwaukee, Wis.; Emma Tasler of Chicago, Ill.; and son, Henry; mother, Wilma Tasler of Windom; sister, Colleen (Mike) Arneson of Panora, Iowa; girlfriend, Rae Lynn Zuehlke; many relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements are with the Bertas Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chaska.
