Viola "Vi" Konrad, 98, of Windom died Jan. 15, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday at 11 a.m., at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom with Keith Lohse officiating.
Special music will be provided by Joanne Nelson, organist; and Keith Lohse, vocal soloist.
Casket bearers will be Roger Konrad, Randy Konrad, Gary Brosz, Allen Lind and Jay Cooper.
Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Windom.
Visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
Viola "Vi" Brosz was born Jan. 11, 1922, to Daniel L. and Christine (Weidenbach) Brosz in Tripp, S.D. She attended rural school in South Dakota before graduating from Scotland (S.D.) High School in 1939.
Vi married Aaron P. Konrad in 1939. They moved to Windom in 1947, raised five children and were married for over 70 years.
Vi worked at various places in the Windom area, with her work in the Windom High School cafeteria as one of her favorite jobs.
As a member of First Presbyterian Church, Vi served as a deacon and in the Presbyterian Women's (circle) Groups. She enjoyed several trips with other ladies in the circle and fellowship with members.
Vi also enjoyed cooking and baking (keeping many of her mother's recipes within the family), as well as family camping and fishing trips throughout Minnesota, South Dakota, Alaska, Washington, Oregon and California.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald; her husband, Aaron; a sister, Elsie; a brother, Elton; and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Konrad.
Survivors include her five children: Roger Konrad of Gilbert, Ariz.; Rita (John) Stotka of Langlois, Ore.; Sandra (Jack) Rollins of Portland, Ore.; Randy (Chris) Konrad of Haines, Alaska; and Kim (Tim) Hogan of San Marcos, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
