Rodney Miranowski, 82, of Windom, formerly of Heron Lake, died Oct. 9, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
Memorial services were Saturday at Sacred Heart Church in Heron Lake with Father Pratap Reddy Salibindla officiating.
Special music was provided by the Sacred Heart Choir and his grandchildren, Connor Miranowski and Tayhler Miranowski.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.
Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in rural Heron Lake.
Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton handled the funeral arrangements.
Rodney Allen Miranowski was born Sept. 17, 1937, to Anton and Margaret (Schaffer) Miranowski on the family farm north of Heron Lake. He grew up on the farm and graduated from Heron Lake High School in 1955.
After high school, Rodney farmed with his father.
In 1960, Rodney married Cleo Kass at St. Mary's Church in Dundee. They lived in the Twin Cities for two years before moving to the family farm near Heron Lake, where they raised their four children.
Rodney worked for Ag-Chem in Jackson until 2006, when he was stricken with a paralyzing stroke. He became a resident of Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
A lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church in Heron Lake, Rodney was baptized, confirmed and an altar server there. He also sang in the church choir.
Rodney's pride and joy was his family and the time they spent together.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Christensen; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Miranowski.
Survivors include his wife, Cleo Miranowski of Heron Lake; four children: Mark (Kari) Miranowski of Andover, Troy (Lisa) Miranowski of Coon Rapids, Tori Ann Clunis of Ramsey and Luke (Kassie) Miranowski of Elk River; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three siblings: Diane Hacking and Denis Miranowski, both of Sioux Falls, and Dean Miranowski of Goddard, Kan.; and a brother-in-law, Tom (Karen) Christensen of Hurley, S.D.
