Joan A. Heggeseth, 74, of Windom died Feb. 14, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
A Celebration of Life service will be held today (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m., at American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastor Adam Roberts officiating.
Special music will be provided by Karen Wojahn, organist; and Mike Foley vocalist.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joan's grandchildren: Ryan Helmoski, Eric and Ruby Heggeseth; Brandon, Austin and Nicholas Hendricksen; and Parker and Daphine Heggeseth.
Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom is handling the funeral arrangements.
Joan Alberta Brausen was born July 10, 1944, to Peter and Anna (Johnston) Brausen in Blue Earth. She received her education in Blue Earth Public Schools, graduating in 1962.
In 1969, Joan married Conrad Heggeseth at Hemnes Lutheran Church in Minneota. They lived in the Windom area and were blessed with three children: Kevin, Kathy and Adrian.
Joan worked for 10 years as a certified nursing assistant at Westbrook and Heron Lake nursing homes.
She was a member of American Lutheran Church in Windom, a 4-H leader for the Springfield Sparklers 4-H Club and a member of Rebekah's-Fidelity Lodge 140.
She enjoyed watching Perry Mason mysteries, listening to Irish music and playing cribbage.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Conrad Heggeseth of Windom; three children: Kevin (Kristina) Heggeseth of Windom; Kathy (Monte) Hendricksen of Lakefield; and Adrian (Kimberly) Heggeseth of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Janet Froslan; and a sister-in-law, Edith (Cliffard) Jeremison.
