Lisa Holt, 60, of Windom died Feb. 3, 2018, at Murray County Hospice House in Slayton.
A Celebration of Life service was Friday at American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastors Dan Hormig and Sarah Larsen Tade officiating.
Special music was provided by Carol Vought, organist; Dustin Stevens, pianist; and Mike Foley, vocalist.
Honorary bearers were Lisa's nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at a later date at Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Windom.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Lisa Jane Holt was born Feb. 19, 1957, to Milford O. and Leona (Van Gerpen) Holt in Windom. She was confirmed at Windom Evangelical Free Church in 1970.
She received her education at Windom Public Schools, graduating in 1975, then earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Mankato State University.
After college, Lisa lived in Texas, Florida, Cayman Islands and Tennessee before moving back to Windom in March 2015.
She worked in sales throughout her life, including at KDOM after moving back to Windom. She also enjoyed her work at MinnTex and as a paraprofessional at Windom and Mt. Lake public schools. She had just started working at Hy-Vee.
Lisa was a member of the BARC board and a book club in Windom. She also was involved with Cottonwood County Animal Rescue and its annual dog walk. Lisa's love for animals was first and foremost in her life, having also volunteered at an animal shelter in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
She enjoyed returning to Windom and reconnecting with family and friends and making new friends.
She was preceded in death by a niece, Elizabeth Ann Holt.
Survivors include her four brothers: Jim (Marie) Holt, Roger (Tammy) Holt, Rodney (Carol) Holt and John (Judy) Holt, all of Windom; nieces and nephews: Tamara (Brian) Draper, Dan (Erin) Holt, Robyn (Rob) Scripture, Travis (Tonya) Holt, Troy (Sara) Holt, Zach (Kelcey) Holt, Sarah M. Holt, Jesse (Micara) Kolander; step-nephews: Steven Bakken, Mark (Patty) Bakken and Lenny (Lori) Bakken; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews; close friends, Terri (Frank) Petersen and Kim Sines; and Lisa's pets: Skippy, Astrid and Barney.
