Marilyn Fisk, 74, of rural Sanborn died Jan. 30, 2018, at her home in rural Sanborn.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom with Pastor Kathy Brandt officiating.
Special music will be provided by Elizabeth Johnson, organist; and Morgen Pedersen, vocalist.
Honorary bearers will be members of the Germantown Garden Club.
Interment will be at a later date at Jeffers Cemetery in rural Jeffers.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
Marilyn Annabel Axford was born May 19, 1943, to Angus William and Esther (Pierce) Axford in Windom.
She received her education in Windom Public Schools, graduating in 1961. She attended beauty school in Mankato for one year.
in 1968, Marilyn married Harlen Fisk at First United Methodist Church in Windom. They lived their entire married life in the Jeffers area, where Marilyn was a hairdresser for 53 years before retiring a year ago.
Marilyn enjoyed her flowers, dogs, chickens, turkeys, camping, making crafts and collecting angels.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Charles, William (Shirley), Douglas and Robert Sr. (Kathleen) Fisk; an infant sister; and nephews, Phillip and Mark Axford.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Harlen Fisk of rural Sanborn; sister, Audrey Carter of Jeffers; and sister-in-law, Emily Axford of Windom.
