Wolves and water will headline outdoor forum
In keeping with their past spring forums this year's topics will be no different. In fact, for 2019, very few things have been in the news more than the gray wolves of northern Minnesota and Isle Royale.

Daylight Saving Time . . . did your clock change?
This past weekend everyone in the area was moving their clocks forward one hour for Daylight Saving Time.
While we have to do this with some electrical or battery operated clocks, our phones and computers and other smart devices take care of this automatically! It's a nice feature to just have done instead of having to manually change the time yourself.

The 'Quiet Place' at Windom dates back 11 years
On May 22, 2008 first-graders at Winfair School gathered west of the swings on the north side to dedicate a small piece of ground to classmate Waylon Menssen, who died of an aneurism March 8.

Always knock on something
It happens every time.
Our family took a winter getaway to Florida last week and before we left, I said that we've been fortunate in the years we've gone south in the winter that we've never had a big problem getting to or from our destination.
Apparently I didn't knock on wood - or anything for that matter.

Farm & Home moves to April
One of the tough things about a wintertime event is, well, winter.
For the second time in 36 years, Saturday's Windom Farm & Home Show was snowed out. Chamber Director Anna Smith said organizers saw Thursday afternoon's decision as both frustrating and necessary.

Another nail in the coffin for Windows 7
In the past we've indicated that coming in January 2020 Windows 7 will no longer be supported and will stop receiving security updates. Many customers have reached out to us about this topic to ask questions, and some have upgraded to Windows 10 to get ahead of the curve. For those of you who are still waiting on upgrading from your Windows 7 machines, Microsoft has announced another major step in the demise of Windows 7.
