More notes on 19-20 schedules
Last week, I mentioned that athletic schedules are starting to come online for the 2019-20 school year.
When I looked this week, some of the spring sports schedules are starting to be posted to the conference websites.

One last Byam-Sher story

Yes, a little more space was needed for an international story with a very Windom connection. And, again, Betty, in her role and connections as a foreign service staff officer, played a very key part.

Service dog law to take effect
Apparently, a new Minnesota law is about to turn the dark underworld of fake service dogs upside down.
Yes, owners and fake dogs, the jig is up. Starting Aug. 1, violators will be fined $100 for misrepresenting their dogs as "service dogs." I guess they will have to go back to being just dogs.

Fourth of July celebration tempered by sad news in 1876
The nation was preparing for the big 100-year celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence from the British. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Ben Franklin had combined all their eloquence and the Continental Congress had approved the document.
