Pirates are going to state!
You won't see too many three-game series in which a total of four runs are scored in three games, but that's what happened in the Region 13C third-place showdown between the Windom Pirates and the Fairmont Martins.
Another oddity is that the visiting team won all three games.

The march of the zebra mussel continues
Last week, at our family cabin on Lake Amelia in Pope County, the news went rapidly around the shoreline. Zebra mussels have been found in the lake. Some were nearly panicked, most were somewhat concerned but some were also almost nonchalant about it. Their thoughts were, it was only a matter of time, considering nearby Lake Minnewaska was found to be infested in 2012.
