Microsoft is in the process of rolling out the Fall Creators Update. It is highly touted as an amazing follow up to Windows 10. It has features such as mixed reality, smarter investments in the pen, creative 3D apps, Edge and speech. There are also some practical, everyday additions. One thing is for certain - Microsoft is determined to be the all-knowing, all-providing software manufacturer for your every computing need. It will do everything possible to muscle out every other piece of software you have and like. If you like eye candy and the latest and greatest 'cool' factor, as well as being spoon fed with whatever Microsoft wants to throw at you, this new version of Windows is for you. You can play to your heart's content. There is only one problem. In my opinion Windows 10 is turning into the most bloated and advertising driven monster operating system ever. Those of us who are more practical and just want the computer to do the things we want it to do as fast as it can without a lot of distractions are disappointed in all the extra garbage. Most users will never use 75% of all the new bells and whistles. They'll just have to learn to put up with them, find ways to remove them or customize the computer so that they don't have to deal with them. Hey Microsoft, why don't you send out a leaner, less bloated monster and let users add what they want? If you need help getting your Windows 10 monster to do what you want it to do, give us a call. We'll get out the whip and tame the beast.
