We are all familiar with the desktop on our computer and all the icons that we have on there. Some desktops are clean and organized while others are messy and cluttered. Built into Windows is a way to make your desktop a little more personalized based on your tastes. If you right click on your desktop you will get a tiny menu with different customization options. The first option should say View. If you hover your mouse over View you will get another submenu with more options and from there you can change the size of your desktop icons to small, medium or large. You could also have your computer auto arrange your icons for you, but moving them to the spot you know where to find them is probably best. You can also choose to align your icons to a grid, or choose to freely move them on your screen as you wish. Lastly, by selecting Show Desktop Icons, you can choose whether or not you want your desktop icons to show up. After the View option you should have a Sort By option. This will allow you to Sort your desktop icons by Name, Size, Item Type or Date Modified. This will move your icons around based on the selection that you choose. So, if you like your icons where they're at do not select anything in the Sort By menu. Your desktop may be just the way you want it already, but if you would like to have a little more organized desktop experience then these tips may help you out.
