Quick talk about video chats
We have been receiving a lot of calls about video chats and how they work and how to set them up. Every situation is different so I cannot cover them all in an article, but I can go over a few basics.
You can participate in video chats on most of your devices, computers (desktops and laptops), phones and tablets. Laptops, phones and tablets usually have webcams and microphones built into them which gives you everything you need in one device to participate in video chats. This doesn't mean that desktops can't do video chatting, but you will need more hardware, such as a webcam and a microphone, to be able to have people see and hear you.
Desktops do not have these functions built into them, and monitors do not have them either. You can still join a chat and see and hear people, but they will not be able to see or hear you without these other devices. Lately, it has been very hard to find these devices because everyone is buying them and stock is running low. But we are checking every day for these devices and hope to have some in stock soon.
If you have any questions on video chatting, or want to know if you have all the equipment needed, feel free to give us a call and we can discuss your setup.
