Never thought we would have to write an article like this, but iCitizen will be taking all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. This means that we will be trying to do as much work remotely as possible. What we mean by working remotely is being able to see your screen, move your mouse, type on your keyboard from one of our work computers to try and fix your problem without ever seeing the computer in person. Most issues we deal with can be fixed remotely, but it is more time consuming depending on your internet speed. Some problems can't be fixed remotely, in which case we will contact you about future steps to get your computer fixed. We will try to avoid house calls, if possible, and would prefer if you would call or email us first so we can determine a safe plan of attack. We will be practicing social distancing in our office to try and maintain a six-foot space between us and you. We are not only doing this for the safety of ourselves and our staff here at the Citizen, but for your safety as well. As far as business clients go, we will be trying to limit onsite work as much as possible. The first option will be to attempt remote support, and if need be a video chat across Google Duo or Skype. If onsite service is needed it can be provided, but all remote fixes will have priority to help encourage remote work as much as possible. If you know you want remote support, feel free to speed up the process by going to icitizen.ml in your web browser and clicking "Quick Support Download," and running the file. You can include the ID and password it gives you in your email request, along with a phone number to contact you. Services will be rendered in the order received with the exception of emergencies determined at our discretion. Please be respectful of our decisions and please don't be offended if we ask you to stand away from us, or if we don't feel comfortable going to your residence. Also, be patient with us during this time as this is an experience none of us have dealt with before. We will update you if our practices change for the better or for the worse.
