Happy new year!

We haven't talked about cleanups in awhile in our columns, but it's good to get your computer cleaned up, preferably once a year - especially after the holidays when family members and grandkids have been using the computer.
No matter what website you go to you are going to get junk on your computer. While having an antivirus helps with the major issues, many smaller non-threatening files get on your computer that your antivirus doesn't consider dangerous. This is how a computer gets "junked" up.
The more careful you are with what you click on and what websites you go to will make it take longer for your computer to get really junked up. But if you use your computer on a consistent basis and go to many different websites, having a cleanup done on the computer is a good idea. It generally takes us a couple days to clean up your system, depending on how junked up it is, and having a cleanup done on your machine most times will help speed it up as well.
If you know it's been awhile since you've had a cleanup on your machine, and you can go without it for a couple days, bring your computer down and have us take a look at it.
And once again, Happy New Year!
