When the first Windom Reporter hit local news stands in 1871, the telephone had not yet been invented. Praise the Lord for Alexander Graham Bell. In this era of social distancing, the telephone (and e-mail) is our lifeline. As this week's editorial points out, readers can expect to see continued features and updates in the coming weeks. It's hard to say how our business will change, but I do know we have excellent stories in the works. We all know that the daily news can be daunting and sometimes frustrating. Our goal is to provide as much balanced and uplifting weekly coverage as possible. To do that, we need your help. Here are a few hints as to what future Citizens may contain and how you can help us bring forth some great stories: Stories about people caught in the act of doing good deeds locally, and area natives doing these things anywhere in the world. Updates from local residents or area natives and others affected by the outbreak. More "Where are they now" stories (area natives doing interesting things elsewhere). If we get a flood of stories, as I hope, be patient. We will do everything in our power to get these in print.
