Council member gives Citizen positive review
Many of you know I started in adult life as an award winning photojournalist, I was immersed in the fourth estate.
I knew news when I saw it and my job was to illustrate what was happening so the visually acute reader would be able to grasp the story. I worked for many newspapers and had a lot of editorial freedom. I chose to follow a different path and returned to Windom.

EDA needs to permit year-round E15 soon
Last fall, President Trump pledged to lift restrictions on the sale of E15, a low-cost fuel option made with homegrown ethanol.
The decades-old regulation that restricts E15 from being sold during the summer months was unnecessary and outdated. E15 is cleaner, higher in octane and costs up to 10 cents less per gallon.

In response to Rahn Larson's editorial in the 4-14 Citizen, the statement "as a council veteran, he should know that elected officials always get more calls from opponents of an issue. If our city were to base all decisions on phone calls and Facebook feedback, nothing would be accomplished."

Old Y2K article shows media selling problems
The national news media said it is so - so it must be so!
I am retiring and cleaning files - dangerous! I came across information about (at that time) the pending "Y2K" or "millennium bug." This was a situation where it was thought that computers around the world would have problems functioning on January 1, 2000.
