10/8/2020 10:23:00 AM BREAKING: MDH, MSHSL will allow limited spectators at volleyball matches
The Minnesota State High School League announced Thursday that, based on revised recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health, limited spectators would be allowed for indoor sporting events, effective immediately.
The MSHSL announced that each participant would be allowed up to two spectators. The spectators must be socially distanced between family groups and the attendance has to be no more than 25% of the facility's total capacity.
Windom volleyball is scheduled to host Jackson County Central tonight. Windom Activities Director Jeremy O'Donnell told the Citizen that, having received the news this morning, the school is not prepared to have spectators at tonight's match. Spectators will be able to attend Windom home volleyball matches starting with the Oct. 15 match against Luverne.
Windom Area Schools is planning to webstream home sporting events on the school's YouTube channel. To access the YouTube channel, visit: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRlsYp5Ii-zE3FZ4qF4zrwA
