Eagles open season at Marshall triangular

BSC Triangular
The Windom Eagle cross country team opened the 2020 season with a Big South Conference triangular at Independence Park in Marshall.

The Eagle boys took third in the triangular with 59 points. Marshall edged Redwood Valley for the team title, scoring 33 points.

The Eagle girls ran as an incomplete team. Marshall's girls won the team title with 15 points.

Individually for the Eagle girls, senior Gracie Bucher held the lead much of the way before being passed around the course's final turn. Bucher finished second with a time of 21:00.

The only other Eagle to finish was Jadyn Wormstadt, who placed ninth with a time of 23:23.

The Eagle boys were led by senior Cameron Alm, who turned in a fifth-place time of 18:39. Chance Elness placed eighth with a time of 18:59. Eli Bordewyk placed 13th (20:10), followed by Thomas Green (20:45) and Jacob Green (21:15).
