4/6/2020 11:43:00 AM BREAKING: Windom hires new AD, head football coach
Windom Area Schools announced Monday that it had hired a new Activities Director and head football coach.
Luverne native Jeremy O'Donnell agreed to serve in both capacities.
O'Donnell has taught physical education and art the past 15 years at Rifle High School in Colorado, where he has coaching experience in baseball, softball and track and had served as the defensive coordinator for the school's football team.
O'Donnell will replace Dane Nielsen as Activities Director. Nielsen had served as both AD and assistant principal at Winfair Elementary this year. O'Donnell also replaces Travis Martin as head football coach. Martin resigned following the 2019 season after two seasons as head coach. He will be leaving the district at the end of the school year to take a teaching position in North Dakota.
O'Donnell's wife, Nikki, also will take an elementary teaching position in the district. The couple has four children.
