2008 Windom Area High School graduate A.J. Stevens has had plenty of excitement in his time working with the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But perhaps no day in his career could compare to what happened late Thursday night.
Stevens, who serves as football administration assistant for the NFL franchise, works on contract language, negotiations and salary cap compliance. Thursday, Stevens helped the Buccaneers land the NFL's top free agent prize.
Late Thursday night, quarterback Tom Brady announced that he had agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Bucs. Brady had previously guided the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl championships in his 20-year NFL career.
Stevens played a significant role in the process of negotiating and writing of the final contract, which Brady signed Thursday.
