Wolverines close with win over Raiders

MLAC 28-35 = 63
NML 24-22 = 46

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey imposed its will in defense in the second half Thursday night, pulling away for a 63-46 victory over Nicollet-Mankato Loyola in the regular season finale at Nicollet.

The Wolverines held a four-point halftime lead, then held the Raiders in check from the field in the second half. NML shot 31% from the field for the game, compared to 50% from the field for MLAC.

The hot shooting allowed MLAC to outscore NML 35-22 in the second half.

Brooke Naas led the Wolverines with 24 points. Margo Stoesz poured in 19 points and Kirsten Myers chipped in 12.
