RV 62-28 = 90 Windom 32-22 = 54 The Windom Eagle boys basketball team couldn't slow down a red-hot Redwood Valley squad Tuesday night as the Cardinals rolled to a 90-54 victory at Windom.
Redwood Valley forced 24 Eagle turnovers in the game, with many coming in the first half. That allowed Redwood to pile up 62 first-half points, building a 30-point halftime lead. The Cardinals then held the Eagles scoreless for a lengthy stretch to start the second half.
Austin Doorenbos led the Eagles with 15 points. Abe McKibbin scored 12 and Sam Doorenbos added 11 in the loss.
MCC 20-23 = 43 MLAC 32-29 = 61 Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey was efficient and balanced on the offensive end Tuesday night, steadily pulling away for a 61-43 win over Murray County Central at Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines held a 12-point halftime lead and were able to keep the lead near 10 most of the second half before pulling away in the closing minutes.
Six Wolverines finished with eight points or more in the game, led by Jordan Toll with 14 points. Ethan Nickel scored 13 points and Sam Paulson added 10. Jon Faber pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds.
SWC 53-29 = 82 RRC 23-25 = 48 Unbeaten, state-ranked Southwest Minnesota Christian raced to a dominant halftime lead Tuesday night, cruising to an 82-48 victory over Red Rock Central at Lamberton.
The Eagles shot a sizzling 55% from the field for the game and forced 17 Falcon turnovers, with many coming in the first half. That allowed the Eagles to take a 30-point halftime lead.
Sam Helmer led RRC with 15 points in the loss. Dominik Smith added 12 points.
