Boys hockey falls at Minnesota River

Windom Area 0-0-0 = 0
MN River 1-0-4 = 5

Things fell apart in the final six minutes of the game for the Windom Area boys hockey team Thursday, as the Eagles fell 5-0 to Minnesota River at LeSueur.

Minnesota River took a 1-0 lead with a power play goal in the first period. It stayed that way until the final six minutes of the game, when the Bulldogs netted four goals, including two on the power play.

The Eagles were saddled by 17 minutes worth of penalties, which allowed the Bulldogs to piled up a 39-21 edge in shots on goal. Goalie Dan Stubbe finished the game with 34 saves in the loss.

Next games: Check for updates after each game.
