Eagle boys fall to Trojans; Chargers rally past Falcons
Windom 25-32 = 57
Worthington 38-26 = 64
The Windom boys basketball team rallied in the second half but couldn't dig out of an early hole, falling 64-57 Tuesday at Worthington.
The Trojans jumped to a 13-point halftime lead, but the Eagles got hot in the second half, shooting just under 48% from the field for the game and holding a 38-27 edge on the glass.
However, 26 Eagle turnovers, with many coming in the first half, proved too much to overcome in the loss.
Henry Erickson led the Eagles with a career-high 17 points. Conner Redman and Dylan Serreyn each added 13 points, with Serreyn also grabbing 13 rebounds.
RRC 38-24 = 62
WWG 34-34 = 68

RRC got off to a hot start, with Justin Klabunde scoring 16 first-half points to stake the Falcons to a four-point halftime lead. But WWG battled back in the second half, hitting five three-pointers in the half to build a 10-point lead late. RRC tried to close the deficit late, but WWG's defense kept the Falcons from trimming the deficit to a single score.
Ethan Mischke led WWG with 22 points, 15 coming in the second half. Hunter Lien scored 18 points and Austin Parker added 10, all in the second half.
Sam Helmer led RRC with 19 points. Klabunde finished with 17 points and Mason Gode chipped in 10.
