10/25/2019 4:25:00 PM Martin resigns as Windom football coach
After two seasons at the helm, Travis Martin has submitted his resignation as head coach of the Windom Eagle football program, as well as from his science teaching position at Windom Area High School.
Martin's resignation will be acted on at Monday's Windom school board work session.
Martin's resignation from the football program is effective immediately. His resignation from his teaching position will be effective once a replacement can be found, or once his current contract expires at the end of the current school year.
In two seasons as the Eagles' head coach, Martin's teams compiled a record of 2-16. Windom had a 2-7 record this season. Windom was 0-9 in 2018, playing all of its games either on the road or at a neutral site due to flooding at Island Park.
