Eagles sweep Chargers; Falcons top Cougars

Windom 25-25-25 = 3

The Windom Eagle volleyball team raced to commanding leads in each set Tuesday night, rolling to a 3-0 sweep over Westbrook-Walnut Grove at Windom.

The Eagles built the leads behind a powerful service game that accounted for nine aces in the match. Reegan Elder led the way, going 20-of-20 with four aces. Autumn Hauge was 15-of-17 with three aces. Ericka Appel was 9-of-11 with an ace and Olivia Maras was 7-of-9 with an ace.

At the net, Katelyn Nichols had a big night, finishing with 19 kills and 12 solo blocks. Hauge added eight kills and three blocks in the win.

Halle Jackson finished with a team-high 18 set assists. Elder added nine assists. Jackson led the Eagles with six digs.

Emma Wahl led WWG from the service line, going 10-of-10 with an ace. Wahl added 29 digs.

Kelsey DeSmith finished with a team-high five kills. Camryn Bunting added four kills. Halle Steen had 11 set assists.

Cedar Mountain 23-05-08 = 0
RRC 25-25-25 = 3

Red Rock Central rallied from behind to win the first set, then cruised in the final two sets to claim a 3-0 sweep over Cedar Mountain Tuesday in Lamberton.

RRC scored the final six points of the first set, rallying from a 23-19 deficit for a 25-19 win. The Falcons then carried that momentum into set two, claiming a 25-5 win before closing the match with a 25-8 victory.

The Falcons fired 17 ace serves as a team, led by Carissa Erickson's five aces on 19-of-21 serving. Kaylee Derickson was 15-of-15 with five aces and Lilly Stavnes added five aces on 12-of-12 serving.

At the net, Karli Arkell and Kierra Highby each tallied seven kills. Nicole Schroepfer added four kills.

Erickson finished with a team-high eight set assists. Bianca Weis led the Falcons with 25 digs.
