Four area golfers earn All-Red Rock

Red Rock Conference Tourney
The Murray County Central girls and Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda boys captured outright Red Rock Conference championships Tuesday following the conference tournament, played at GreatLife Golf Club in Worthington.

The team championship was determined using the combined scores from the three regular-season league events plus the conference tournament. Individual all-conference placings were determined using the results of the conference tournament, plus a player's best two scores from the remaining three regular-season league meets.

MCC's girls finished the four-event slate with a combined team total of 1,586. Westbrook-Walnut Grove finished third in the team standings with a total score of 1,728. Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey was fifth in the standings with a score of 2,007. Red Rock Central was seventh in the standings with a score of 2,059.

For the boys, HLOF won the conference title with a score of 1,345. WWG finished third with a 1,519. RRC was fifth with a 1,595. MLAC finished with an incomplete team score.

Individually for the girls, MCC's Abby Hamman was the conference champion. Hamman shot a 79 Tuesday and finished with a composite score of 240.

WWG's Brittany Erickson earned all-conference honors, placing fourth overall with a 301 composite score. Erickson scored a 101 Tuesday.

RRC's Carley Baumann also earned all-conference honors, finishing eighth with a 311 composite score. Baumann finished with a 111 Tuesday.

Olivia Christians led MLAC with a 327 composite score. Kylee McMullen scored a team-best 111 Tuesday.

For the boys, Jack Pierson of MCC was the overall conference champion, finishing with a 233 composite score.

WWG had two all-conference golfers. Andrew Quade placed third overall with a composite score of 247. Quade scored a 91 Tuesday. Nathan Kuehl placed ninth overall with a 266 composite score. Kuehl shot a 94 Tuesday.

Justin Klabunde led RRC with a 305 composite score. Klabunde and Sam Dammann each shot a 105 to lead the Falcons Tuesday.

Ryan Pedersen led MLAC with a 304 composite score. Thomas Regier led the Wolverines Tuesday, firing a 97.
