Eagles, Trojans suspended The Windom Eagle fastpitch team was locked in a tight battle with the Worthington Trojans Tuesday before Mother Nature intervened.
With the game tied 5-5 heading into the sixth inning, lightning caused a weather delay. The heavy rain shower and prolonged lightning that followed prompted the decision to suspend the game.
No determination has been made yet for when the game will be resumed.

The Dutchmen scored five runs in the top of the first inning and led 8-0 before the Wolverines got on the board in the bottom of the sixth on a two-run Molly Carnell home run.
Lexi Toll had the only other hit for the Wolverines.
Carnell took the pitching loss, allowing nine runs on 11 hits. She walked two and struck out 10.
RRC/WWG 000 000 1 = 1-4-0 MCC 000 104 x = 5-5-1 Murray County Central broke open a tight game in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday, claiming a 5-1 victory over Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove in Slayton.
The Rebels held a 1-0 lead with a run in the fourth, then plated four runs in the bottom of the sixth innings.
RRC/WWG scored its only run of the game in the seventh. Hannah Evans led off with a single and courtesy runner Hailey Amsden scored on a Nicole Schroepfer RBI double.
Falcon pitcher Kennedi Janssen took the tough loss, allowing five runs on five hits. She walked five and struck out three.
