Eagle girls fourth at Luverne

Cardinal Relays
The Windom girls placed fourth and the boys were eighth at the Cardinal Relays, held Tuesday in Luverne.

Windom's girls finished with 59 points. Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central was 10th with 13 points. Luverne won the team title with 210½ points.

For the boys, Windom was eighth with 33½ points. WWG/RRC was 10th with 18 points. Worthington won the team title with 148½ points.

Individually for the Eagle girls, sophomore Delaney Smith led the way, capturing first in both the shot put (40-8) and discus (114-10). Jadyn Wormstadt added a first-place finish in the high jump (4-8).

Gracie Bucher finished second in the 1,600-meter run (5:40:18) and third in the 800 (2:37.51). Tori Christoffer finished fourth in the 100 hurdles (18.41).

The Eagle boys were led by Andres Cazares-Reyes, who finished second in the shot put (43-0). Patrick Green placed fifth in the 3,200-meter run (11:18.73).

WWG/RRC's girls were led by Hunnter Bloch, who placed third in the pole vault (7-6).

The Charger boys were led by Cody Willard, who placed second in the 100 dash (11.98). Dalton Piotter placed fifth in the 1,600-meter run (5:08.88).

Panther Relays
The Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey boys placed third and the girls were fifth at Tuesday's Panther Relays, held in Tracy.

MLAC's boys scored 79 team points. Marshall won the team title with 131 points.

The Wolverine girls scored 44 points. Marshall won the team title with 148.33 points.

MLAC's boys were led by a pair of first-place finishers. Eli Samuelson captured first in the 100-meter dash (11.46). Sam Paulson took first in the 300-meter hurdles (45.50), second in the triple jump (36-10) and fourth in the long jump (18-1½).

Ben Nachreiner placed second in the 200-meter dash (25.69). Emilio Garcia de la Cruz was second in the 3,200-meter run (11:42.00). Jordan Toll placed third in the triple jump (36-1½). Ryan Blomgren was fourth in the 800 (2:18.00). MLAC was also second in the 4x800 relay (9:41.03).

MLAC's girls were led by Haily Green, who placed second in the 800 (2:39.00). Michala Morin was fourth in the 200 dash (31.19) and the high jump (4-6). Kate Janzen took fourth in the pole vault (7-0) and the long jump (12-6). Saige Wall finished fourth in the shot put (27-0¼).
