Eagle girls sixth at Worthington
Worthington Girls Invite
The Windom girls golf team opened the 2019 season Saturday, playing in an 18-hole tournament at GreatLife in Worthington.
The Eagle girls tied for fifth place in the meet with a score of 429. Jackson County Central won the tie-breaker, as the Eagles played with only four varsity golfers.
Lac Qui Parle Valley won the tournament, shooting a 377 team score.
Individually, Windom senior Paige Pigman placed fifth in the tournament, scoring a 91. Lily Mellstrom shot a 107, followed by Allie Ward with a 114 and Miranda Cory with a 117.
