St. James 39-38 = 77 Windom 34-33 = 67 St. James marched to the free throw line in the second half and pulled away late, claiming a 77-67 victory over the Windom Eagle boys basketball team Tuesday in Windom.
The Saints led 39-34 at halftime, only to see the Eagles battle back in the second half, briefly taking the lead and forcing several ties.
But down the stretch, the Eagle offense went cold. Windom was forced to foul to try to climb back into the game, but the Saints made the Eagles pay from the line, going 17-of-19 for the game, 16-of-18 in the second half.
Eric Pfeffer led the Eagles with 25 points. Kobe Lovell added 22 points in the loss.
RRC 28-27 = 55 RCW 30-35 = 65 Turnovers proved to be the difference Tuesday night as Red Rock Central fell 65-55 to Renville County West in Renville.
The Jaguars pulled away in the second half as RRC committed 23 turnovers in the game, with many coming in the second half.
The Falcons hung around with hot shooting from the outside. RRC hit 11 three-pointers in the game and shot 55 percent from three-point range on the night.
But RCW was able to put the game away down the stretch by shooting 56 percent from two-point range for the game.
Sam Helmer led RRC with 14 points. Spencer Halland added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
