Cobras fourth at BSC Windom-Mt. Lake had two champions and nine placewinners Saturday on its way to a fourth-place team finish at the Big South Conference Tournament, held at Windom.
The Cobras finished with 133 team points. Fairmont-Martin County West won the team title with 229 points.
Individually, the Cobras had two champions. At 126 pounds, junior Brett Willaby opened the day with a fall, then won a 4-2 decision over state-ranked Sam Kulseth of St. James before winning a 7-5 decision over state-ranked Connor Simmonds of FMCW to win the championship.
At 152 pounds, Alex Borsgard opened with a fall, the won a 15-3 major decision over state-ranked Brayden Donkersloot of Worthington before winning a 4-2 decision over state-ranked Tayte Harazin of Redwood River Valley to win the championship.
WML added one runner-up in the tournament. At 132 pounds, Kade Sammons won a pair of technical falls, then took a 6-2 loss to state-ranked Cale Steuber of FMCW in the championship match.
Zach Spinks (145) and Jabari Carlton (220) each placed fourth. Caden Swoboda (106) and Eli Mutz (285) each placed fifth and Osmar Roman Parada (170) and Kaden Haberman (182) each finished sixth.
