Fan buses being lined up for Friday's Prep Bowl

A student fan bus and an adult chartered fan bus are being lined up for Mt. Lake fans attending Friday's Prep Bowl game between Mt. Lake Area and Spring Grove.

Fans interested in either fan bus need to register at the Mt. Lake Public School office by 8 a.m., Wednesday. Cost for the student fan bus is $10 and the adult chartered bus is $20. Tickets to the game are sold separately, either online at Ticketmaster or at the game. Tickets to the game cost $16 for adults and $10 for students.

The student fan bus, the adult chartered bus and the Mt. Lake High School pep band bus will all depart from the Public School at 5:45 a.m. on Friday for the game, which begins at 10 a.m.

Fan buses will stop to eat in Shakopee on the way home.

Pep Fest Wednesday
A pep fest/sendoff for the Wolverine football team will be held Wednesday, beginning at 2:45 p.m., at the Public School Auditorium. Students from Mt. Lake Public and Mt. Lake Christian will be in attendance and the public is invited to attend.

Wolverine Hankies are being sold at the Public School office for $2 each.

The Wolverine team will leave for the Twin Cities during the day Thursday.

Other information
Fans attending Friday's Prep Bowl should be aware of potential issues with traffic and parking before heading to the game.

Parking at US Bank Stadium is limited, with most of the available parking in public lots around the stadium. Parking spots at several City of Minneapolis public ramps can be reserved in advance online, and many parking ramps are connected to the Minneapolis Skyway, which is also connected to US Bank Stadium. Fans may also wish to take the light rail train from one of several park-and-ride lots further from the stadium.

Traffic on Friday is expected to be heavy due to ongoing construction on Interstate 35W, as well as Black Friday shoppers. Fans may want to give themselves plenty of time to get to the stadium.

Gates at the stadium will open at 9 a.m., which is one hour before kickoff.

In addition, a Welcome Home celebration for the team will be held Friday, beginning at roughly 6 p.m., at the Public School Auditorium. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
