Strong serving and balanced offense propelled Red Rock Central Tuesday night, as the fourth-seeded Falcons knocked out top-seeded Windom 3-1 in the Section 3A South playoffs at Worthington.

RRC jumped to the early lead in the first set, winning 25-22. Windom started set two strong, finishing with a 25-13 win.

The Falcons then roared back in the third set, rallying for a 25-18 win. RRC started the fourth set with a quick 5-0 lead. Windom battled back to take a 19-18 lead, but RRC scored seven of the last 10 points, earning a 25-22 win.

RRC's offense was led by Nicole Schroepfer's 11 kills. Karli Arkell had seven kills and three solo blocks. Haley Simonson and Kaitlyn Rindfleisch had six kills each and Kierra Highby finished with five kills.

Steph Amsden went 12-of-14 serving with two aces. Bianca Weis was 20-of-21 with an ace. Kennedi Janssen was 11-of-12 with an ace and Simonson and Arkell each went 14-of-14. Simonson finished with 20 set assists. Schroepfer led RRC with 24 kills.

Tori Christoffer led the Eagles at the net with 15 kills. Katelyn Nichols had 14 kills. Ella Brockman and Autumn Hauge added five kills each.

Hauge led the Eagles from the service line, going 20-of-20 with two aces. Nichols had four solo blocks. Brockman and Becca Hacker had three blocks each. Hacker finished with 33 set assists.

Top-seeded Waterville-Elysian-Morristown wasted little time taking control Tuesday, cruising to a dominant 3-0 sweep over Mt. Lake-Area-Comfrey in the Section 2A playoffs at St. Peter.
