Pirates' Riverfest Tournament changes
There have been some last-minute changes to the Windom Pirates' Riverfest Tournament.
The Brandon Valley team notified the Pirates that they had to drop out of the tournament due to a lack of players available this weekend.
To replace Brandon Valley, the Pirates determined that they would take Brandon Valley's in pool play, meaning the Pirates would play each of the other four teams in the tournament field during round-robin play Friday night and Saturday.
As a result, the Pirates would not play for the tournament championship or third-place on Sunday.
That means the Pirates will play a doubleheader tonight, hosting Gibbon at 6 p.m. and Nimrod at 8 p.m.
Saturday's games will have the Pirates facing Champlin at 11 a.m., followed by Gibbon playing Lennox, S.D. at 1:30 p.m. At 4 p.m., Champlin will take on Nimrod. And at 7 p.m., Windom will face Lennox.
Sunday's action will have the third-place game at 12 p.m., followed by the championship game at 2 p.m.
