Officers investigate possible package theft

The package-stealing season has arrived.

That's one reason a Windom woman was paying close attention to a package that was expected to arrive at her doorstep recently. Windom police officers spoke with the woman about a mailed package that was stolen from her property.

She reported receiving confirmation from FedEx that the package containing a $150 pair of boots had been delivered to her door at 1:58 p.m. The woman later called back to report that she may not have received the package, adding that a FedEx employee reported that the delivery had been logged incorrectly.
