Cottonwood County reported its first death attributed to COVID-19, according to Tuesday's daily COVID-19 update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services reported the deceased was in the 75-79-year-old age group.
Tuesday's MDH update showed Cottonwood County with 720 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is up 36 from the previous day.

The 720 cases is an increase of 177 cases from a week ago, when the county reported 543 lab-confirmed positive cases.
