Courthouse to remain open

At Tuesday's special meeting, Cottonwood County Commissioners agreed to keep the county courthouse open, despite the climbing number of COVID-19 cases in the county.

The board heard from County Recorder Kathy Kretsch, who stated that her office has worked hard to limit foot traffic in the building by scheduling appointments, and has been vigilant to prevent the spread through installing dividers, not sharing equipment and sanitizing after every customer.

Kretsch added that closing the building to customers would be detrimental to her office and others, making it difficult to catch up on work.

For more details on Tuesday's commissioners meeting, see the Nov. 25 edition of the Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition.
