9/30/2020 7:23:00 AM Harvest moves full steam ahead; Strong yields reported
The region's harvest is moving briskly, thanks to excellent weather, and yield reports have varied, depending on location and rainfall.
On Tuesday, Clay Hockel, owner of Eagle Ag Crop Consulting said the soybean yields he has seen thus far have ranged from 35 bushels per acre, in Rock County, to a field averaging 85 bushels per acre, north of Mt. Lake. He added that he has seen corn yields as high as 250 bushels per acre on a 30-acre plot east of Windom.
