Paving work underway in Windom's Rolling Green neighborhood

Today is a big day for residents of Windom's Rolling Green neighborhood.

Preparations began early this morning for today's paving project in the Rolling Green area, located on the west side of the Des Moines River, north of Highway 62. Paving was expected to start at 8 a.m.

Among the streets that are expected to receive their first layer of paving are: Fairview Avenue, Des Moines Drive and possibly Verona Avenue.

Since the ditches were removed removed throughout the neighborhood, dirt work and seeding has been a critical part of this year's street project. Soil preperation and seeding were completed throughout the Rolling Green area yesterday.

A second lift of pavement will be added at a later date.
