Supt. Wormstadt: 'It's good we're back to school'

Heading into this week, it had been six months since Minnesota students and teachers had been together in a classroom.

But all that has changed.

While a majority of schools in the state that could bring students back to school did so last week, in Windom, that transition started Monday. And it began with a shiny new Windom Area Elementary School.

"We're excited to have school back and the kids in," said Wayne Wormstadt, Windom Area Schools superintendent. "Be patient as we kick this off. This is going to be a brand new way to start off school. There will be a lot of changes, but be patient and be positive.

"It's good we're back to school."
